A search is underway for a 15-year-old Idaho girl who disappeared last week after she told her mother she was meeting a friend, according to reports.

Lacey L. Jeffries was last seen on Oct. 17 in St. Maries, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said. She had just been at church with her mother and told her she was going to see a friend named Brad, who has since been identified as a 20-year-old man named Bradley D. Walters of St. Maries.

The teen hasn’t been seen since, but the pair allegedly made their way to Worley, Idaho, on Oct. 19, where they are believed to have taken a CityLink bus to Coeur d’Alene.

The sheriff’s office said they also received a “reliable tip” that the pair took a taxi to Union Gospel Mission on East Illinois Street in Spokane. However, they both have not checked in, reported KXLY.

The 15-year-old girl has been described by police as “missing, possibly endangered.” She has been classified as a missing/runway with the National Crime Information Center.

Walters is currently being investigated by St. Maries police for potential charges for his involvement, reported KREM 2.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jeffries or Walters, or individuals who have been in touch with them since Oct. 17, are urged to contact the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office on (208) 446-1300, or contact local authorities immediately.
