On April 1st, Donald Trump sent his most well known female political surrogate, Sarah Palin, to stump for him at a Republican fundraiser in Wisconsin four days before the important state’s primary.

Trump has been doing poorly among women, with some disapproval ratings among women as high or higher than 70 percent. In addition to Palin, Trump has been bringing out his wife Melania to stump for him on the campaign trail.

Palin’s speech, however, fell flat, and only drew applause a handful of times. She began with a joke about football, and then continued to ramble on, praising Trump’s foreign policy:

“Only Trump talks rationally, about listening to top brass as president, and hiring the best of the best to work alongside our commander-in-chief.”

The part of the speech that got the most attention was the part where she said that politicians were “seducing” immigrants over the border:

“What the heck are you thinking, candidates? What the heck are you thinking when you’re actually asking for more immigrants—even illegal immigrants, welcoming them in. Even inducing and seducing them with gift baskets. Come on over the border and here’s a gift basket of teddy bears and soccer balls. What are you thinking? It’s just inviting more.”

John Kasich and Ted Cruz both showed up to the event, but Trump chose not to turn up and sent Palin instead.
