Mr. Tambrin, who performs in a community theater, attended today’s show with his daughter. They were among the audience treated to the beauty of the Chinese classical dance accompanied by a live orchestra.
This was the first time Mr. Tambrin had seen a DPA performance and they were impressed. Mr. Tambrin said, “The show was great. I'm a performer as well, and I love seeing different kinds of dances and different kinds of shows that kind of allow me to open up my eyes to things I haven't experienced before.”
Mr. Tambrin likes to share new experiences and memories with his daughter. He said, “I thought it was a very special moment; and bringing my daughter to it too was very special as well. … I've never really seen anything like this before.”
He enjoyed most Welcoming Spring. “With the flowers and the really beautiful fans, I thought that was a good one. That was very nice. And what a beautiful space too. I've never been in here before. This was a special thing, again, because I got to bring my daughter; this is her second time coming.”
Welcoming Spring is an exuberant, joyful folk dance with quick steps and festive explosions of color.
