Another fine day with light wind provided good conditions for the golfers on round-2 of the UBS Hong Kong Open 2015 on Friday Oct 23, 2015.

The Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and Graeme McDowell grouping started from the 11th tee at 7:50am on the second day. Rose continued his consistent play with 5-birdies but dropped a shot at the par 4, 9th to finish -4 for the day, giving him 131 (-9) to lead the tournament going into the weekend. Graeme McDowell picked up one shot in round-2 to finish on 135, (-5). However, Dustin Johnson carded 72 on day-2 to finish his 2-rounds on 141 (+1 ) just missing the cut at PAR.

Lucas Bjerregaard of Denmark also had a good round advancing his position from -4 to -8 to take second place ahead of the weekend play. Bjerregaard struck 7-birdies but dropped shots at the 6th, 9th and 17th to give leave him on 132 strokes after the two rounds, just 1-shot off the lead.

Ian Poulter of England also advanced his position finishing the second day with a total of 133, (-7) to put him in equal 3rd place with Lu Wei-chih of Taiwan the overnight leader. Lu held his consistency well producing 4 birdies but had one blemish of a double bogie on the par 5, 3rd.

There are six players a further shot back on 134 (-6), three shots off the pace: Matt Ford, Anirban Lahiri, Andea Pavan, Y E Yang, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Nathan Holman.

Miguel Angel Jimenez and defending champion Scott Hend had a disastrous day both finishing on +3, 143 and missing the cut. Other notable names that will not be taking part over the weekend are Padraig Harrington and Jose Manuel Lara.

With the scores are closely bunched so tomorrow will provided opportunities for many of the leading players.
