Reebok Canada has offered CA$10,000 (US$9,730) for the return of a glove and hockey stick belonging to Sidney Crosby, captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

After scoring the final goal that won the Canadian men’s hockey team gold at the Vancouver Olympics, Crosby tossed his stick and gloves into the air in celebration. The stick and one glove disappeared in the following celebration pandemonium.

Security videotape from the arena is being reviewed to hunt for clues among those seen leaving the venue carrying a stick. According to reports, officials have few leads and hope that the monetary reward, which will be given with no questions asked, will entice the gear snatcher to return in the winning equipment.
