At least three Georgia officers were shot in Locust Grove in Henry County on Friday morning, Feb. 9, WSB-TV reported.
Two Henry County sheriff’s deputies and one Locust Grove police officer were shot at the Hawthorne in Linden Park in the town, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Two officers were airlifted to a nearby hospital. One was taken to a hospital via ambulance.

The man who shot at them is dead, WSB reported.

Reports say the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Henry County Police, Locust Grove Police, and an agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are now investigating.

As a precaution, Locust Grove Elementary School said it was on lockdown, News4Jax reported.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Henry Co Sheriff’s deputies and Locust Grove officer who were shot this morning in Henry County,” the Gwinnett County Police Department wrote in a tweet. “We hope they survive their injuries and make a full recovery.”

Other details about the shooting are not clear.
