Quadruple Shooting Kills 2 Teens in Pennsylvania

A shooting left two teens dead and two other juveniles injured in Chester, Pennsylvania, according to police.

Officials told local news outlets that the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. That’s when officials found 15-year-old Edward Harmon and 15-year-old Tayvonne Avery with gunshot wounds.

Authorities said both the teens died at the scene, 6ABC reported. Two additional juveniles, who were not named, were injured in the shooting.

One victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in serious condition, while the other victim walked to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso and is said to be in good condition, according to police.

The victims were playing basketball when the shooting unfolded, authorities told the station. It’s not clear what sparked the gunfire.

No arrests have been made, and no motive was described. Police haven’t released a description of any suspects.

The two deaths marked the 10th and 11th homicides in Chester in 2020, NBC Philadelphia noted. Chester is located between the cities of Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware.

Officials said the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Broomall Street.
