Donald Trump’s childhood home, a place his father built many years ago in Queens, is available for a stay via Airbnb. The listing states that the house can accommodate 20 people and the cost starts at $725 a night.
The listing says that the house has been preserved in the original style, similar to the way it was when the president lived there as a child. The listing also says that Fred and Mary Trump, brought the future president to this house from the hospital.
The home is located in the Jamaica Estates section of Queens. Fred Trump built the house in 1940. After Donald Trump was born, in 1946, he lived there until he was 4 years old. The family then moved to a larger home located nearby on Midland Parkway, according to DNAinfo.
The home was purchased for $2.14 million by the current owners, in March. The ownership group calls itself Trump Birth House LLC. The LLC classification allows the owners to keep their identities concealed, as reported by AM New York. The owners state on the Airbnb page “This listing has no relationship with the White House, the President, Donald Trump, or the Trump organization in any way.”
The house went up for lease in June, at which point the current leaseholders signed up for a 12-month lease at $4,000 a month. The home auction company that handled the sale of the house from its former owners to its current ones, Paramount Realty USA, told AM New York they couldn’t reveal whether the house was put on Airbnb by the leaseholders or the owners.

The house holds a little authenticity with a presidential reminder, with the listing stating: “There is a giant cut out of Donald in the Living Room, he is a great companion for watching Fox News late into the night…”
There is a tenant who lives in one of the rooms and will be there, as required by law, during the course of any Airbnb renter’s stay. The law requires a permanent tenant be present for rentals of less than 30 days.
On an episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” posted to Vimeo by Paramount Realty, Fallon showed the president a photo of the house and talked about the sale. The president spoke about fond memories of the house, along with praise for his mother and father.
The auctioners also think the value of the place could grow over time. They foresee it becoming a National Historic Landmark, and then possibly a museum in the future. The DNAinfo article cites two places associated with Abraham Lincoln that became historic landmarks: his childhood home in Indiana, and his later home in Illinois, while his Kentucky birthplace was designated a Historic Park.
