Mrs. Odimba is a Registered Nurse, and her daughters are students of dance and the arts.
"It's good to see the different cultural dances—this is the best. The choreography is beautiful, in sync and very graceful.” Mrs. Odimba said. She appreciated other aspects as well, “The storytelling is fabulous. My favorites are: The Monkey King Triumphs and Persecuted on a Sacred Path. I enjoyed the way they presented these stories very much."
Joyce remarked that her favorite dance was The Udumbara's Bloom, and the grace of the lead dancer in this piece impressed her greatly. "All the costumes are so beautiful and move so fluidly. The way the dancers interpret the dance is simply divine. The movements and expressions are soft and show in every movement."
The Udumbara flower according to Buddhist legend blooms only once every three thousand years. The story says its unfolding heralds the coming of a great sage or an enlightened being. The flowers have bloomed in several locations in the world during the last few years.
"I already knew a lot about ancient Chinese culture. This show confirmed what I knew, I love the traditional Chinese culture." Joyce shared.
Blessing loved the costumes. They reminded her of cherry blossoms. Her favorite story was Persecuted on a Sacred Path, a contemporary piece covering the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in today’s China. The maturity and love that was shown deeply touched her heart.
Joyce said, "This show is just amazing, if everyone could find a way to watch it, they would find it opens your eyes learning about another culture. The dancers are perfect," was her final comment.
