Authorities have charged the parents of an emaciated 16-year-old West Des Moines girl who died in October.
The Des Moines Register says a medical examiner found that Natalie Finn died from denial of critical care.
Her mother, 42-year-old Nicole Marie Finn, of West Des Moines, and father, Joseph Michael Finn II, of Urbandale, were arrested Thursday. Police say the mother is charged with first-degree murder, three counts of kidnapping and several other child endangerment and neglect counts.
Joseph Finn is charged with three counts of each of kidnapping, child endangerment and neglect.
