Four navel personnel and one civilian were killed in a bomb explosion targeting a bus in Karachi, Pakistan, Thursday.

It is the third such attack on a navy transport in one week. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the previous attacks, reported Reuters.

The transports were hit by roadside bombs—a tactic that has claimed many lives of many Afghans.

The attacks came just days after the chief of Pakistan’s armed forces, Gen. Ashfaq Kayani, had claimed his forces had ““broken the back” of the Taliban in Pakistan.

An unnamed Taliban spokesperson told AFP that the Pakistan navy, army, and air force, are their enemy. “We want to make it clear to the military to prepare for similar attacks in the future,” the spokesperson said.
