Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s office was evacuated on Wednesday amid reports of a suspicious person nearby.

CP24 reported that the area around Parliament was closed down “ because of a suspicious person inside the building.”

Harper was not in the building at the time.

The bomb squad was also called to the building, said a local woman, who wrote about it on Twitter.

Canadian authorities said they took a man into custody, said CBC News.
