We all remember the incredibly shameful Tweet sent out by the World Health Organization on January 14, 2020—when most people were starting to hear about COVID for the first time—downplaying the disease and claiming it didn’t pass from human to human. That was false and the WHO knew it to be false because doctors were getting ill—which only happens when there is human-to-human transmission.
