Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney announced Aug. 10 that he secured over $52,000 for the New Hampton Fire Department. The funds are for new, life-saving breathing equipment and come from the federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The money is for new compressor systems for self-contained breathing apparatus equipment (SCBA).

“Our local firefighters protect our communities and keep our families safe from harm—they should have the equipment they need to do their jobs quickly and safely,” Maloney said in a press release.

Maloney, who touts his record supporting firefighters, says he has secured $9,084,511 for Hudson Valley fire departments since January 2013.
