Following the success of the ‘New 7 Wonders of the World’ global poll in 2007, the New7Foundation initiated the new poll in which the public can choose natures most wondrous places in the world.
The public can now choose the seven landmarks they consider most beautiful from the 28 finalist. Which include the Amazon forest, the bay of Fundy in Canada, the Black Forest in Germany, the Table mountain in South Africa and the Sundarbans delta in India, which is the largest mangrove forest in the world.
All these landscapes are beautiful and much needed to be protected. To make them known by the public will bring to them an invaluable help. By doing this, these areas will develop their tourism industry what will make possible to improve their economy but especially will encourage the protection of these magic, fragile and invaluable sites.
The international organizations as UNESCO disapprove this step which she considers being as “neither democratic, nor scientific”. President of the New7Foundation, Swiss adventurer Bernard Weber, responded to AFP that the goal of poll is not scientific, and that 130 million people who voted in the previous campaign more democratic is than what is proposed by UNESCO with its 21 experts.
The ONG awaits the vote of a billion people by telephone or Internet. You can have chance to make the decision until 2011. http://www.new7wonders.com/
