A high school girl in California was apparently attacked for posting her support of President-elect Donald Trump on Instagram.

The student, from Woodside High School, located in Woodside, Calif., was beaten up in a video that was captured on video.

“This girl comes up to me and she said, ‘Do you hate Mexicans?’ and I was like, ‘no,’ and she said, ‘You support Trump. You hate Mexicans,'” Jade Armenio, a sophomore, said, reported KGO.

Armenio said that the girl hit her and threw her to the ground. She then pulled her hair and ripped out her earrings. She was left with a bloody nose and bruises.

“I don’t think I could name one person on any of my accounts who didn’t say their opinion last night,” Armenio said.

“My husband and I don’t put our political views on social media. Kids still do it. That’s their life. We tell them don’t do it, but even if she does she should never be hit like that,” said her mother, Gina Armenio.

According to her father, Todd Armenio, his family is considering pulling Jade from the school, claiming a lack of responsiveness from the institution. “The recorded incident was investigated in conjunction with law enforcement and appropriate disciplinary action has been taken,” the school stated, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

The incident comes amid reports of protests across the United States.
