Musician Finds Shen Yun Performance Stupendous

“I’ve seen fragments of Shen Yun on the Internet. So I knew the dancing was going to be stupendous … I have been wanting to see Shen Yun, I guess about 12 years since it first opened. And I wasn’t disappointed … It was a stupendous show, and absolutely amazingly beautiful, haunting, inspiring, and stunning performance and experience.”

“I particularly, both as a musician and someone who works on video sometimes, enjoy seeing the way the remarkable split-second timing of the dancers, leaping behind by the background, were suddenly appear flying off into the sky in the video [digital backdrop].”

“I didn’t understand the Chinese [songs] because I only know a couple of words in Chinese, but I did read on the screen [digital backdrop], the English translation. And of course, it is true, that the spiritual journey that we are all on is the most important part of us. As someone once said, we are not people having spiritual experiences; we are spirits having human experiences.”

“I think the message that was intended, which is the spiritual connection between people and the fact that the classic arts are a very important part of our lives. The classic teachings, whether in art or ideology, are the important messages—love, forgiveness, faith, trust, caring, all of those are important.”
