In a surprising twist to Donald Trump’s campaign, the candidate met with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly at the Trump Tower for lunch on April 13, CNN Money reported.

An NBC reporter spotted Kelly being met by members of the Trump team at the Trump tower. The pair met at 11 a.m. for about an hour, and Kelly is apparently going to discuss the meeting on her show on Fox later in the day, “The Kelly File.”

Trump and Kelly have had an ongoing feud since Kelly moderated the first Republican debate in August 2015, when Kelly pressed Trump on his history of derogatory comments aimed at women.

This prompted Trump to make the comment that Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever.” He later refused to participate in a Fox News debate unless Fox dropped Kelly as a moderator. Fox refused and Trump boycotted the debate.

Since then, Kelly and Trump have been openly critical of one another, and this appears to be rare moment of civility between the two.

The Daily Beast reported that Fox News chairman Roger Ailes brokered the meeting.
