Manslaughter Charge Over Qld Road Death

A 22-year-old man has been accused of manslaughter after another man, 46, was struck and killed by a truck in far north Queensland.

Police allege there was a physical altercation between the pair around 8.45pm on June 21 at Cardwell which caused the 46 year-old man to fall into the truck’s path.

The younger man, who is from Innisfail, was on June 28 charged with manslaughter and is expected to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on Monday.
