A loud and disruptive airline passenger was removed and arrested Wednesday evening from a Miami flight preparing to depart. “I’m Palestinian and I want kill all the Jews,” said Mansor Mohammad Asad, according to a Miami-Dade Police Department statement. The police statement said witnesses said he spoke in a foreign language.

The Delta airlines flight was taxiing when “the captain elected to return to the gate, and the aircraft was met by local law enforcement,” according to Delta spokesperson Anthony Black. A canine unit searched the Detroit-bound flight. It then departed Miami International Airport.

According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, Asad is an American citizen. Whether or not he is of Palestinian heritage is unknown.

After being escorted from the plane Asad was searched. During the search he became aggressive toward the officers, making threats and racial references, and chanting in a foreign language.

He was charged with threatening a public servant, disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer without violence to his person.

The Examiner reported that FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela said nothing indicates the disturbance was connected to terrorism. The FBI is leaving the incident in the hands of the local authorities.
