U.S. President Joe Biden’s first call to a foreign leader will be to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the White House said, as the new administration prepares to engage with world leaders.

The call is scheduled to take place on Friday, according to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who made the announcement during the Biden administration’s first press briefing on Jan. 20.
