The current investigation on Hunter Biden’s purported laptop may only be the tip of the iceberg and be an imprimatur for additional investigations on his business activities overseas.
Just today, Fox News has obtained and disclosed an e-mail dated May 15, 2017, with the subject line “Phase one domestic contacts/ projects,” in which Joe Biden’s brother, Jim Biden, indicates a list of “key domestic contacts” for a joint venture involving himself, his nephew Hunter Biden, and the now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.
The list included former Vice President Joe Biden’s current running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D.-Calif.), among other prominent Democrats government officials such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and former Virginia Gov. Terry McCauliffe, among others.
The email was sent from Jim to Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, Rob Walker, and James Gilliar.
Although it is unclear if any of the Democrats listed were ever contacted or were aware of the “target projects,” the fact that their names were used to leverage influence casts a shadow of potential “pay per play” corruption as a consolidated modus operandi.
