Inca’s Half-Pitch Penalty Shot Wins Match for Sol de America

The football match between Paraguayan first-division teams Sol de America and Olimpia was decided in spectacular fashion when Sol de America midfielder Inca blasted a 45-meter free kick past the Olimpia netminder for the game-winning goal.

Down 1–0, the visditing Sol de America squad evened the score at 74 minutes. The with ten minutes left in the match, Inca drove this free kick half the length of the field and into the top right corner of the net.

Possible the Olimpia keeper was too stunned to react in time; probably he was expecting an indirect kick, and was watching for players cutting in to strike a header. However it happened, the ball got by him, giving any Sol de America fans who made the trip a real thrill.
