I-40 Closed: 6 Dead After Bus Crash in Jefferson County, TN

At least six people have died after a bus crash on Interstate 40 on Wednesday.

The crash happened at the 422 and 423 mile markers on the highway in Tennessee, reported WBIR.

The crash involved a bus, a tractor trailer, and another vehicle.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said six people are dead after the crash, reported Amanda Hara, and emergency crews have asked East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to be on standby.

The wreck is estimated to be cleared by 9 p.m.

I-40 is closed in both directions around the crash site.
