HONG KONG—May 13th is the 15th World Falun Dafa Day; it’s been 22 years since Falun Dafa began to spread worldwide. This day is also founder Li. Hongzhi’s birthday and celebrations for both events have been held all over the world.

On the morning of May 10, 600 practitioners from Hong Kong, Taiwan and neighboring countries dressed in yellow tops displaying the words “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” and rallied outside the City Hall in Central. A display of group exercises was followed by a performance by the female waist drum team dressed in splendid fuchsia attire. The morning event ended in the loud and clear singing of the song “Falun Dafa is Good.”

The afternoon celebration parade started at North Point. It was raining heavily; however, the parade still attracted many people and tourists. The Tian Guo marching band marched at the front of the parade, followed by practitioners holding various banners of appeal to raise awareness to the public to stop the brutal persecution in China and to let people know that Falun Dafa is good.

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first taught to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi on May 13, 1992. Over the past 22 years, it has been widely spread to over 110 countries and areas; over 100 million people are now practicing Falun Gong.

Since the brutal persecution began in 1999, Falun Gong practitioners have been clarifying truth peacefully around the world. Following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in everything they do, which re-establishes the values of Chinese divine culture, practitioners have gained the world’s respect.
