Ignore the bonus CD and stick the DVD on.

It’s here that Hexstatic’s talent shines, in mashed up, hyper-edited videos perfectly melded to their mutant electro and sample-heavy downbeat.

Their best tracks and videos originate from their 2000 album Rewind, on which they married crisp, melodic electro and fun, technology obsessed visuals to great effect.

‘Stylophonic’ contains the best use of the Stylophone probably ever, and ‘Vector’, ‘Machine Toy’ and ‘Bass Invader’ are nearly perfect electro.

It’s a shame their recent rather dry electronica isn’t as vibrant, although the singing parrots on ‘Perfect Bird’ are hilarious.
