The team at Sony Online Entertainment released new gameplay footage for H1Z1.

The zombie survival game is slated to get released on PlayStation 4 and PC sometime this year. A specific release date still hasn’t been announced.

The development team announced earlier this year that the game will be free to play but will have in-game micro transactions.

At the same time, basic items such as weapons, ammo, and food will be free.

Sony also plans to let players loot items from one another, including those purchased.

Yet if that happens then the looting player will get a copy of the item with limited durability while the other player will keep the original unbreakable version.

“So if a player has a black ski mask and gets killed by another player, that player can wear the ski mask for a few deaths,”Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley said in a post on Reddit.

“This gives the great feeling of whacking some unsuspecting fool who decided to bring a knife to a gun fight.”
