Gao Zhisheng has spoken out in full support of the two public sources of information about illegal organ harvesting in China, Annie and Peter. The two go by their first names only for fear of reprisal from Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents.

“As for me, I am full of heartfelt respect for these two sources. Through them, I see humankind’s courage in defending justice, and firm determination in protecting conscience and morality. People should support them.”

Gao Zhisheng and fellow democracy advocate Ma Wendu had been on a short trip, but were forced to return separately to their homes in Beijing on April 22, due to close shadowing by CCP agents.

Gao has expressed some relief that the CCP agents seem to be lightening up a little bit and no were longer applying such intensive tactics at his home to intimidate his family. If things remain at this calmer level, he has said that he will remain living at home.

“After I came back today (April 22), there were no spies on my doorstep. This is different from previous days. They all kept at least 200 meters away, and they just popped their heads in, deliberately letting themselves be seen, and then quickly withdrew. If they keep it this way and do not continuously harass my family, I can continue to stay at home. If they keep on harassing us as they did previously, there is no way I can stay at home,” said Gao.

Gao Explains Why He Does Not Want To Become a Politician

“It seems to me that politicians must speak in a careful and sly manner. Why would I want to take up a role that would not allow me to speak the plain truth as I see it?”

While commenting on the general moral decay of Western society, Gao revealed a bit of his thinking about politics and politicians.

Gao: “I am angry at them (the U.S. government) over the Sujiatun issue. I am very angry. Many supporters across the world often encourage me to speak and think from a politician’s point of view. It seems to me that politicians must speak in a careful and sly manner. Because of this I do not consider going the route of politics. At the moment I am risking my life to speak the truth, even in the face of immense pressure and threats from the Chinese communist regime. Why would I want to take up a role that would not allow me to speak the plain truth as I see it?”

After hearing that the CNN reporter who asked Hu Jintao if he had seen the many protestors outside of the Whitehouse had been removed from the press conference, Gao lamented that democracy is being eaten away even in the places where it is strongest.

“Ah, the rogue tyranny of the CCP has influenced even free America. It is the root cause of this trouble and confusion. The specter of the CCP corrupts whatever it touches.”

Gao Salutes the Courage of the Sujiatun Sources

“Ah, the rogue tyranny of the CCP has influenced even free America. The specter of the CCP corrupts whatever it touches.”

“I salute these two individuals for their bravery and determination to speak out in the face of injustice and grave personal danger,” said Gao. “They posses a type of moral fiber that is lacking in Western society in general.”

“On both the Falun Gong and the Sujiatun issues, the U.S. government will not be in any danger if it makes a righteous decision. On the contrary, it will gain both fame and wealth. However for these two sources [Annie and Peter], everybody knows the cruelty and violence of the CCP tyranny, the choice made by these two sources means that from now on, their lives will be at risk.”

“They did not have to speak up. They have had the courage to do what so many of their peers in China—not to mention the United States—have been unable to do, though no one would have criticized them for not stepping forward. However, these two people have chosen to step forward. Their actions give hope to all of us who sacrifice for the cause of human justice. If we all choose to be indifferent or lured by profit, the end result would be disastrous for human kind.”

“So, as for me, I am full of heartfelt respect for these two sources. Through them, I see humankind’s courage in defending justice, and firm determination in protecting conscience and morality. People should support them.”

Gao Supports Dr. Wang Wenyi’s Protest at the White House

Dr. Wang Wenyi’s image, crying out on the White House lawn for President Bush to make President Hu stop the killing of Falun Gong practitioners in China, has been all over the press and television media. It shocks and makes one think. Her words to President Hu: “If you continue to persecute Falun Gong your days are numbered.” It sounds prophetic.

The U.S. government is pressing charges against Dr. Wang for her “disorderly conduct.”

Gao Zhisheng supports her fully.

“It would be a real shame if the United States government truly pursues a case against Wang Wenyi. Her protest hardly constitutes a criminal act.”

“On the issue of Wang Wenyi, there is one thing that needs to be affirmed and one thing that needs to be denied,” said Gao.

“Her actions should be affirmed. Since Wenyi, her family and friends, have all suffered horribly under the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese communist regime, society cannot expect her to remain silent when she is in the company of one of the men responsible for all of that suffering,” he said.

He added that, “She could not have gotten her message across utilizing the traditional means of a reporter. She had to improvise. Her actions should be commended.

“It would seem to me that ceremony and conventional manners can be trespassed upon when people’s lives are at stake—and they are.”

“If she were in China, I would go to the court to defend her for sure. I hope our U.S. attorney colleagues can stand out actively and defend her.”

“One thing I'd like to point out is that from a legal stand point, I don’t think that a case can be made against Wang Wenyi. The only thing that she harmed was protocol and ceremony. And, given her history and the circumstances involved, these transgressions should be forgiven. Her protest hardly constitutes a criminal act,” said Gao.

He added that: “I think it would be a real shame if the United States government truly pursues a case against Wang Wenyi. It would be a real failure of human compassion and decency...Therefore, on the Sujiatun and Falun Gong issues, if the U.S. government still has a conscience, these incidents will make them feel ashamed already. We cannot make an unjust case and add even moral burdens upon American people. If criminal charges are made against Wang Wenyi, it will be a shame for humanity.”
