Festo at SEMICON West Conference 2018
From July 10–12, the SEMICON West Conference was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. SEMICON West is a three-day event that focuses on semiconductor technology. The conference draws in professionals, companies, and attendees from around the world.
Festo’s United States branch was present on the exhibition floor, showcasing its automation technology.
“Our core products is pneumatics, valve manifolds. We do electric components, motors, drives, etcetera, so basically anything that moves,” said Andy Cornes, sales engineer.
One of the products displayed was the company’s new Motion Terminal. According to Festo, the Motion Terminal is capable of replacing 50 different machine components through the use of various combinations in its cloud-based apps.
“Our key accounts generally are the semiconductor tool manufacturers in the Bay Area,” said Cornes.
The services and products Festo specializes in are highly necessary within the semiconductor industry. Because many of the equipment and tools often require specialization, Festo can fulfill that demand by supplying custom solutions.
“I think Festo is family company and we really do have a great relationship between Festo and its customers,” said Cornes.
Founded in 1925, Festo is a German company, with branch offices in multiple countries around the world. The United States offices have been around for over 40 years.
Festo is dedicated to creating pneumatic and electrical control and drive technology for process automation.
