A female suicide bomber killed 46 people and injured 105 Saturday, close to a United Nations aid facility in Khar, in northwestern Pakistan, according to CNN. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

A spokesperson for the Pakistani Taliban told CNN that the attack had targeted people who had formed a “pro-government and anti-Taliban group.”

The woman, dressed in a burqa, detonated explosives on her body at a security checkpoint close to a distribution point for the U.N. World Food Program. The relief program has shut four relief centers in the region indefinitely following the attack, according to the Associated Press.

President Barack Obama on Sunday, condemned the attack on the distribution point, describing it as an affront to humanity.
