Exatron at SEMICON West Conference 2018
From July 10–12, the SEMICON West Conference was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. SEMICON West is a three-day event that focuses on semiconductor technology. The conference draws in professionals, companies, and attendees from around the world.
This year Exatron showcased its automated test equipment on the exhibition floor.
“We specialize in custom solutions. We make automated test equipment that moves and drives electronic devices,” said David Ledezma, Exatron sales manager.
Exatron focuses on creating equipment that is tailored to the customers’ needs.
At SEMICON West, Exatron displayed a few of the various equipment options that the company produces. Laser marking, laser welding, and automated programming systems are some of the types of technology the company offers to customers.
“All of these options can be placed on a machine, so you can see how one machine can become very flexible and versatile,” said Ledezma.
One type of equipment present at the exhibition booth was made to withstand extreme temperatures.
“This application would be for space or military—their devices have to handle extreme temperatures,” Ledezma said.
The company has its own design team, software writers, engineers, and machine shop.
Founded in 1974, Exatron is a company that specializes in creating custom automated test equipment. In 1990, the Exactron founder passed the company down to his grandson.
According to the company website, Exatron is “constantly adapting to emerging technology while continuing to support our earlier products.”
