The Epoch Times is seeking experienced Freelance Entertainment Writers to produce original celebrity and entertainment content for our website, TheEpochTimes.com.

The Epoch Times’ primary goal is to bring our readers accurate information and revive traditional values. Therefore, the entertainment news content should reflect and respect American traditional values. Truth and Tradition is our brand.

Duties

– Identify, pitch, and write entertainment and celebrity articles that drive traffic to our website.
– Pitch and write original entertainment and celebrity features; rewrite original content from third-party sources; make calls to PR, law enforcement, and attorneys when necessary.
– Provide compelling SEO-friendly headlines and pick images.

Skills

– Write clearly and concisely
– Develop engaging in-depth articles
– Perform under tight deadlines
– Efficiency and productivity
– Working knowledge of photoshop, photo editing, and copy-editing skills and thorough knowledge of AP Style

Job Requirements

– At least 3 years of experience in writing content for print or the web with a focus on pop culture, celebrity, and entertainment news.
– Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
– Familiarity with entertainment and celebrity landscape.
– Solid news judgment and excellent journalism ethics.
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
