NEW YORK—The audience at the Saturday matinee of Chinese New Year Splendor in Brooklyn was eager to talk about the journey through traditional Chinese culture they had just witnessed.
"It was very enjoyable. It was very nice. Colorful,” said Mr. Yaniv. “And [there are a ] lot of meanings within Chinese history and culture. It was a very beautiful show!"
Mr. Yaniv attended with his wife. Both of them are in managerial positions in an engineering company in Israel. They were in New York City visiting their son who lives in the city.
Mr. Yaniv is an engineering manager, while his wife is director of the IT department at the company. Their son had bought them tickets to the show so that they could enjoy their their visit to New York City.
In addition to the Yanivs, many others talked about what they enjoyed the Divine Performing Arts debut performance in Brooklyn.
An elegantly dressed employee of Macy's was at the show, and he had nothing but good things to say about the show.
"I really like it! Really like it. Yeah! I’ve never seen this type of dance before. I’m enjoying it."
Ms. Markowitz, a retired travel agent, said, "I love it. It’s a marvelous show. I went last year, and I came back again this year. Absolutely! I recommended it to my friends too."
