A car plunged off a downtown Los Angeles bridge and fell upside down onto a freeway below, killing its driver.
The wreckage on northbound Interstate 110 has created a major traffic jam during the Thursday morning commute.
The Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the car to crash through a railing on the 3rd Street bridge around 4 a.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department says the victim is a 50-year-old woman.
