PASADENA, Calif.—Mr. Lopez is sales manager of the biggest daily Hispanic newspaper in Los Angeles. He and his wife came to the Divine Performing Arts show in Pasadena Civic Auditorium on the night of December 30.

When asked what he thought, Mr. Lopez said “Spectacular. I really enjoy the colors, the music, it’s just phenomenal. I think the last dance [Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope] was really interesting, where they mix all the colors and the different dresses with the big wheel at the back, it was impressive.”

“It was interesting … the introduction was really good because they talk about really what’s true, the world is an illusion, or something like that. So it was intriguing … very colorful, and very artistic."

Mr. Lopez said he “absolutely” has an appreciation for ancient Chinese culture from the show. “They were putting in characters, the English letters and the songs, I see that it’s universal longing as a human being, the world wants the same, human nature, for goodness, beauty, song.”

He also commented on some of the spiritual connotations during the performance. “This is a little bit kind of spiritual, sublime, that’s the word that comes to mind. I really like the lyrics of the songs, I think I kind of connected with the lyrics. Always seeking for truth and hope and beauty. It seems like it’s like a human universal language of seeking what’s good in humanity.”
