FRANKFURT, Germany—Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour opened to an almost full house at the popular Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt, on February 21. Throughout the performance, the audience responded with lots of applause, standing ovations and a curtain call.

Mr. and Mrs. Reichel, restaurant owners, liked the show very much.

Mr. Reichel said: “I have lots of contacts to China and also conduct business with Chinese. I have to say, I do know some things, but I liked this very much. I liked those rhythms, the colors, the music—all that is very beautiful, a tremendous enrichment for Germany.”

He liked the way the backdrops were integrated into the story-based dances.

“I noticed that they are the Chinese who are more outside, outside of China. The show is presented wonderfully, it is perfection. My wife and I are very happy to have been here. It is very beautiful.”

Messages conveyed by the performance tell about tradition and are also connected with belief.

“Well, we here in Germany are [a] little bit different. But I myself am very open, we are very free. We once employed a Shaolin monk in our company,” Mr. Reichel said.

He noticed and appreciated the 5,000-year-old tradition portrayed in the show.

“Yes, this is beyond thousands of years. When we were still in the woods,” Mr Reichel chuckled. “The Chinese had already been far developed and have invented many things, from which we profit today. There are many thousands of things. I am very happy that the Chinese are here and I have enjoyed this here very much. A wonderful thing! Here next to me is my wife,” the restauranteur said with a smile.

“I own several restaurants. The Chinese come to us. I have good connections to Chinese. There are many visitors from China, who love our German food, very traditional kitchen and I love the Chinese food and enjoy going out for Chinese dinner. It is a wonderful connection. I also belong to the Chinese group of regulars and attend large events, at which often I am the only German [laughs], but that does not matter—it was a wonderful evening,” he said.
