DENVER—Evelyn, a local business owner was asked what she thought of the show.

"I loved it. I thought it was very beautiful, the costumes, the talent, the special effects in the background were beautiful!"

When asked about the backdrops she commented "Just the special effects that they had and the way they blended it in with what was going on in the stage [was great]. I have a Chinese granddaughter and it meant a lot to me to see it. So I plan on bringing her next year!"

The backdrops at each Divine Performing Arts show brings classical Chinese dance into the 21st century giving each scene an added visual depth and grandeur. Each backdrop is custom-designed to match exactly a given dance’s costumes, storyline and choreography.

Evelyn commented further on her connection with Chinese culture. "Well due to the fact that my daughter is Chinese, we adopted her right from Hunan, we have tried to maintain her culture and this helped me in maintaining her culture. I [also] enjoyed having everything explained before each dance, so the dances were understandable as you watched. I think I would highly recommend [the show] and I know the owners of Chinese Children's International Adoption and I think it would be a very good program for a lot of those children to see because its very important that they maintain their culture and I think it would be wonderful for them!"

The guiding mission of Divine Performing Arts is to rediscover and renew humanity’s true, rightful cultural heritage. The company thus creates and performs works that center upon the true, divinely bestowed culture of humankind, and seeks to provide an experience of consummate beauty and goodness. All the performers share a commitment to preserve and transmit the classical arts of China.

Wes Edwards is well known in Indiana. He enjoyed the show in Indianapolis very much.

"I enjoyed the show very much. It was a beautiful show! I enjoyed the presentation of Chinese arts and culture and the acrobatic dance. It was very pretty; the music and the singing was very nice. The music was very nice. I like the way they mixed the instruments, the oriental instruments and the western instruments. They mixed together very well."

The vocal soloists of Divine Performing Arts are elite singers who perform throughout the year on many of the world’s greatest stages and who have been highly acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.

The Divine Performing Arts Orchestra begins with a classical Western orchestra as its foundation and augments this with traditional Chinese instruments, enabling its compositions to at once mine the potential of Western orchestral music and yet be rich in Chinese qualities.

"I understood the message and I think it is a very good strong message. I think it has strong roots in Chinese culture. I learned that the people who want to send this message believe in peace and good will towards all people!"
