Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have not broken up, a source close to the couple says.
The rumors started because they’re not spending much time together lately.
“Demi and Wilmer are not broken up,” a source close to the 21-year-old singer told Radar Online.
“They are still a couple and very much in love.”
“They are both really busy working on their own things right now,” the source explained. “Demi has been focusing on her music and releasing new material, and Wilmer is busy promoting his new TV series From Dusk Till Dawn.
“They have been through a lot together and the great part about their relationship is that they have a lot of trust.”
Some friends worry that Lovato, who is sober and an advocate for being so, could be influenced by Wilmer, who is not sober, but the source said it won’t happen.
“Wilmer is not an addict and respects her sobriety very much,” the source said.
“Demi is like a rock and is very dedicated to remaining sober.”
Meanwhile, Lovato and Christina Perri are set to start their tour soon with MKTO.
The tour kicks off at the Baltimore Arena in Maryland on September 6 and runs through October 25, when it will hit the Prudential center in Newark, New Jersey.
She also shared pictures on Twitter recently that showed a beautiful setting in a tropical place, but declined to share the location and covered two of the photos.
“I covered the others because they are from my personal vacation,” she said. “I don’t like sharing too much about my personal life.”
