Delbert Belton, a World War II veteran, was beat to death on Wednesday, and police in Spokane, Washington, arrested one of the suspects in the case.

The juvenile male will be charged with first-degree murder and robbery in the attack, reported KXLY News, citing the police department. He was arrested at around 8:55 a.m.

The names of the suspect was not released.

The second suspect in the attack is still at large.

Both are believed to be black males between the ages of 16 and 19, according to previous reports.

Police officers “have arrested one suspect, a juvenile male, in connection to the beating death of an 88 year old man earlier this week,” the police department said in a statement on Twitter.

Belton, 88, was a World War II veteran who was wounded in the leg during the Battle of Okinawa.
