The photographs taken by firefighters of a car dangling out of a building in Orange County, California were dramatic enough.

Now video footage has emerged of the moment on Jan 14, in which the car went airborne almost flying over a bus before it plowed into the 2nd story of a building in Santa Ana.

The car wedged into the building on East 17th Street, Santa Ana, California. (OCFA)

Miraculously both of the occupants of the car escaped with only minor injuries, according to the Orange County Fire Authority, who said that they quickly extinguished a fire that had broken out on impact at East 17th Street.

One occupant managed to get out of the vehicle themselves, the other was freed by the fire crew.

Fire officials said the Nissan Altima crossed three lanes before hitting a divider, going from airborne to dangling half in, half out of a building at the corner of 17th and French streets.

Now, dashcam footage has emerged from an Orange County Transportation Authority city bus that shows the moment the car flies over the carriageway after hitting the central barrier.
