A farmer in Hazel, South Dakota, showed off his witty sense of humor when he recreated his daughter’s honeymoon photos in hilarious ways. The father’s one-of-a-kind photos took the internet by storm, racking up more than 36,500 likes. Indeed, dad jokes are funny.

Natasha Stroup, a nail stylist with Color Street, didn’t forget about her family even though she was enjoying her honeymoon in the idyllic tropical shores of Hawaii sometime in November 2018.

Wanting to share the beautiful scenery with her loved ones, Stroup, the newlywed, took some photos—a picture of a hibiscus flower, and snapshots of her wedding ring and also glittering nails against the backdrop of sand and ocean—and sent them to her family via group text.

Stroup’s dad, Tracy Fritz, saw the photos and responded in the most creative way.

Trying to be the best dad possible, bringing a smile to his daughter’s face while also managing to make her laugh, Fritz replicated every photo she sent with a hilarious twist.

Fritz snapped his own version of the honeymoon photos while working on his farm, and he sent his re-creations—his own hand covered in dirt, an ear of corn to replace the hibiscus flower, and work boots in the cornfield to replace the bare feet in the sand—via the family’s group text back.

“She was showing the scenery around her, I just thought I’d show the scenery around me,” Fritz told BuzzFeed News.

Just imagine the smile on Stroup’s face when she saw her father’s funny pictures.

“He didn’t say anything. He literally sent the photos, that’s it,” Stroup recalled.

Stroup showed her dad’s photos to her husband right away. “I was like, ‘seriously, look at what my dad just sent me,'” she said.

She was certainly not surprised by her dad’s response. It’s typical of him to do such things because “he’s just a smart aleck.”

Finding the pictures to be hilarious, Stroup’s younger sister, Kylie, shared them on Twitter, writing, “So my sister is in Hawaii right now and sent pics to the group message and my dad responds with this.”

“I just thought it was funny,” Kylie said. “I think my dad’s funny. He doesn’t think he is.”

And so did the nearly 36,500 social media users who liked the tweet. They were loving his brilliant sense of humor.

“Cool Dad Alert!!” one user wrote.

Another joked: “Someone put a ring on that man’s hand!”

“Your Dad is AWESOME!!!” a third one commented.

Now that the photos have gone viral, Fritz couldn’t be more pleased.

“I’m glad I could make my daughter popular,” he said.

Fritz didn’t just manage to interact and engage with his grown-up daughter; he also reminded us of the fact that no matter how old a daughter grows, she will always be her daddy’s little angel.

Is your dad this funny? If so, what are some of the jokes or pranks he has played on you?
