CHINA—Danba County is located in the eastern part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan province, which covers 4,721 square kilometers.

The majority of its population are Tibetans and Hans, and ethnic minorities include Hui, Yi, Miao and Manchu. The area has four seasons and an abundance of sunshine. The winter is not freezing cold and the summer is not too hot; the average temperature through the year is around 14 degrees Celsius (57 Farenheit).
