Hillary Clinton’s Campaign chairman John Podesta said Thursday, April 7, that it’s time for the government to make public information that it has on life in outer space saying, “the American people can handle the truth.”

“The U.S. government could do a much better job in answering the quite legitimate questions that people have about what’s going on with unidentified aerial phenomena,” he said to Jake Tapper on CNN.

When asked about whether or not there was alien life, Podesta said, “That’s for the public to judge once they’ve seen all the evidence that the U.S. government has,” adding when asked about his own personal beliefs, “There are a lot of planets out there.”

Podesta was a former Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton’s administration, and also worked as a close adviser in the Obama administration.

On March 24, Clinton herself said on the Jimmy Kimmel late show that she was also in favor of having information about UFOs public as long as it didn’t pose a threat to national security:

“I would like us to go into those files and hopefully make as much of that public as possible,” she told Kimmel. “If there’s nothing there, let’s tell people there’s nothing there.”
