A roundtable discussion on the violation of human rights in China gathered in Jan. 28 in Sofia to focus on the persecution of Falun Gong and the situation in Tibet. The forum was organized by the Bulgarian Falun Dafa Association in cooperation with the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee (BHC), and was held in the Czech Cultural Center in Sofia.
After the forum, the Czech Cultural Center hosted a presentation of the documentary film “Plum Blossoms in the Snow,” which tells a story about the persecution of Falun Gong adherents in China and the struggle for human rights in a totalitarian country.
The film is part of the film festival “One World” and was shown again at the Czech Center by the organizers of “One World” in Bulgaria. “One World” is an international film festival for human rights held every year in different European countries.
