Q: Who’s the last person you got nervous meeting?

Cher Lloyd: I'd say that I did get a little bit nervous coming in today because it’s been so long. I am a bit nervous. I am a bit nervous to be doing this, although I’ve learned how to hide it a little bit. But i do get a funny feeling in my stomach.

Q: What is your favorite lyric from Sorry I’m Late.

Cher Lloyd: Oh, that’s a hard one, that’s a very hard one. Probably it’s from “Good Night”, which is a song I wrote about my dad, and there’s a line in it and it says, “I'll save your seat at the table.”

Q: Who would you totally fan-girl over if you met them right now?

Cher Lloyd: Oh, it would have to be Sam Smith. I would have to not overdo it. I‘d have to do the whole“I really like your music”, because I’d also be like “Oh my god!” and I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to freak him out.

Q: What male artist would you love to collaborate with?

Cher Lloyd: Really like Ed Sheerman. Always liked Ed Sheerman, from the get-go. I mean, that was always, a real diamond there you know. But I’ve have to say probably him.

Q: What was like working with Beth Ditto?

Cher Lloyd: It was an experience. It was definitely an experience and I think you meet all these different people everyday, but then you meet one that just stands out, you know? You know you'll never really forget the atmosphere that was surrounded with it. It was a really good atmosphere.

Q: And Demi Lovato?

Cher Lloyd: I went on tour with her;I got a new single with her;I’m featured on her latest single called “Really Don’t Care”, and we just shot the video.  I can’t wait for people to see that.

Q: What’s she like to work with?

Cher Lloyd: She’s fun, really fun. It’s nice to be able to work musically with someone around my age. It’s nice, another girl.

Q: Is she just a girl’s girl; do you guys just hang out?

Cher Lloyd: I wouldn’t say we just “hang out”, but we definitely have a laugh together, you know. We had a great time at the video together and busy being on tour with each other, we’re always doing silly little things. We pulled a few pranks on each other, which was fun, and --

Q: What?

Cher Lloyd: Well, on the last night of the tour, there was just this little rumor going around that she was going to do something to me while I went on stage for my part of my song.  So I decided that I'd do something to prepare myself for that. I put on a tiger-lion onesie. It was weird because was about to silly-string me but it was like, who’s pranking who here? I think we both win.

Q: What’s your favorite tattoo?

Cher Lloyd: Always a difficult question, that one. I’ve always said it’s my crying eye. I just really like it, and whenever I look at it, it reminds me of something.

Q: What’s the best thing about being married?

Cher Lloyd: The best thing about being married? It’s not much different to just having a boyfriend. It’s not that much different. But I think the best thing about it is that I got a best friend for life. His my best mate; we do everything together. We do really silly things together and we really want to spend our time having fun. And that’s what we want our lives to be — is just to be happy and to have fun. And hopefully, make other people happy too. Sounds cheesy when I say it, but that is our plan.

Q: And lastly, you’ve had a ridiculously crazy five years. When you were really little, did you always know that? Did you have a sneaky suspicion that you would be a singer and be famous?

Cher Lloyd: I remember the day that my mom, from the car booth, she bought me a Pop-idol Karaoke machine. Totally out of date — you had to kick it to make it work. But, I fell in love with that karaoke machine, and I remember the first song I sang on it was a Britney Spears song. And I stood there, and I had this wardrobe with mirrors on it, and I stood there and I thought: this is the dream. I did; I stood there and I always got really nervous for anyone to walk into the room because I didn’t want them to catch me doing all my moves. And, I was just an outward dreamer. But I worked my ass off, and I got a big slice of that dream - it’s lovely.

Q: What’s the best advice someones ever give you?

Cher Lloyd: Best advice actually came from Mr. Cowell. He said to me, “Do what you want to do.” It was a very stern — it was more like I understood what he was telling me. It wasn’t just like, “Oh its OK, you do what you want to do”, it was more like, “No, you do what you want to do.” And I’ve carried that with me.
