Singapore-based restauranteur, chef David Laris, is opening EDEN Local tomorrow at the Cachet Boutique NYC Hotel.
Dishes made with locally sourced, organic products, and inspired by the wellness movement, are the focus of the menu.
“I grew up on a farm where we have free range chickens, freshly grown vegetables and spices that fed the family, and it is a way of living that still follows me. Our chefs at EDEN Local, go to the local market in Manhattan, and use the fresh local produce to execute the menu I am so proud of. I am thrilled to be bringing this concept to New York as a modern eatery in the heart of the city,” Laris said in a press release.
Dishes include Roasted Cauliflower “Steak” with sultana raisin gremolata, spiced pine nuts, and coconut yogurt; and Kombu Cured Wild Snapper, with charred avocado, summer radishes, leche de tigre, serrano, blue popcorn. Executive chef Frances Tariga will lead the kitchen.
Cachet Boutique NYC Hotel is the first U.S. hotel from the Cachet Hospitality Group. The hotel will feature three outdoor gardens, and activities such as yoga classes outdoors and after-work champagne tastings. Wellness offerings will include on-demand spa services and personalized meditation sessions.
