Vin Diesel has revealed that Cardi B will be starring alongside him as a cast member in “Fast & Furious 9.”

In an Instagram post on Oct. 22, Diesel, 52, shared with his fans it was “Day 86 here on the set of Fast 9” as he sat beside Cardi.

“We all gave every single thing we could for this movie,” he said, as Cardi beamed beside him from the UK set.

It will be the Grammy-winning rapper’s first movie role since her debut as Diamond in “Hustlers,” where she starred alongside actresses Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu. The 27-year-old’s role in the upcoming “Fast & Furious” film has not yet been disclosed.

“I’m tired, but I can’t wait,” Cardi told Diesel’s followers. “I ain’t gonna front, I think this is going to be the best one.”

Diesel, a long-time star of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, announced it was their last day of filming in the UK, telling his followers they’re all “blessed” but exhausted because the cast and crew “gave everything we could for this movie, put it all on the table.”

Cardi meanwhile added she was going to take a “nappy-nap.”

“I’m tired, but I can’t wait,” she said. “I need to take a nappy-nap. I’m ready to take my nappy-nap.”

The news came a day after Diesel revealed that Puerto Rican artist Ozuna has been cast in the highly anticipated movie, which is scheduled for release in May 2020.

On Oct. 21, the 52-year-old posed in a photo on Instagram with the reggaeton artist alongside movie director Justin Lin.

“As you know, we have often found great talent in the music industry to cross over into film,” Diesel wrote. “They are expected to leave all the accolades at the door to embrace the character with integrity... and that is exactly what Ozuna has done. Very proud of your work and role in Fast 9! Pa Mi Gente! All Love, Always.”

Ozuna has recently worked with Cardi in the hit single “Taki Taki” by DJ Snake. It is also rumored that he will be working on the soundtrack for “Fast & Furious 9,” reported NME.
Other newcomers for the franchise’s 10th installment include John Cena, Anna Sawai, Michael Rooker, Vinnie Bennet and Finn Cole.

Production Delays

The film’s scheduled May 2020 release date comes after a delay in film production after Diesel’s stunt double, Joe Watts, severely injured himself late July while performing a stunt on the film set at Warner Bros. Studios based in Leavesden, northwest of London.
On July 22, production was officially delayed while Watts recovered from severe injuries he suffered from what The Associated Press described as an accident. Hertfordshire Police told AP the victim suffered “serious injuries.”

Watts, who teaches tumbling at The Creative Academy in Slough, was airlifted to hospital following the incident.
