Young cyclists who crossed the continent to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China held a final concert outside the Lincoln Memorial.

Some Ride2Freedom Cyclists came from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, but two of them are honoring the lands of their immigrant parents.

Kristine Feng, 15, said she has become a leader on the Ride2Freedom 3,000-mile bike ride, and she says the team has become more patient with each other on the grueling trek.

Entrenched, endemic injustices can end. The persecution of Falun Gong will end. Ride2Freedom is a big step towards that.

Americans welcomed a 16-year-old girl from Germany, when she rode a bike across the country to rescue orphans, during the Ride2Freedom tour.

Rev. Jackson praised the riders for their sacrifices and their exertions making this 3000-mile bicycle journey to save children orphaned by the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

She could have spent the summer in air-conditioned comfort in Dubai, but 21-year-old Ghazal Tavanaei chose to Ride2Freedom instead.

Aila considers Ride2Freedom “a once in a lifetime chance” that she doesn’t want to miss. “It is very important that we raise awareness and save five orphans so they can have a happy life,” she said.
