AUSTIN, Texas—Watching Shen Yun Performing Arts left Steven Lora feeling creatively inspired after the performance at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, Dec. 28.

“I thought it was perfectly executed,” Mr. Lora said. “Beautiful choreography—the costumes, the colors. It was just awe-inspiring.

Mr. Lora has established and guided many businesses, including Fortune 500 and several furniture chains in Austin. Having won several awards for his creative marketing efforts, the creativity of the New York-based Shen Yun left him inspired.

Mr. Lora also noted the use of the digital backdrop, which allow the performers to appear on stage one moment and to soar through the sky the next. “It’s a top-quality production,” Mr. Lora added.

Shen Yun uses the backdrop to accompany dances from stories like Journey to the West, to sweeping landscapes for the ethnic and folk dances representing the many ethnic groups of China.

“I thought it was beautiful, magical,” Mr. Lora said of the culture.

“I feel very light and happy, and I feel inspired, creatively inspired,” Mr. Lora said.
