The compound that housed Osama bin Laden for the past five years has been converted into a first-person shooter map.

The map, which details bin Laden’s fortress-like home and the outlying areas in Abottabad, Pakistan, has been recreated for the game Counter-Strike Source, and is available via a download from GameBanana.

However, there is no mission that requires the player to conduct a coordinated raid to kill or capture bin Laden.

“What a lot of people don’t seem to understand is that the only thing this map has in common with Osama is location. I can see how people would think it is in bad taste,” the map’s creator said in a posting that accompanied the map.

He added, “But honestly if that’s your opinion you may as well protest the whole game (as well as many others).”

The map’s creator said that he started creating the map on May 3, one day after bin Laden was killed and U.S. President Barack Obama made the dramatic announcement.
